POPI Act Compliance

The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) is a South African law that protects your personal data. Here's how MathEden complies:

1. We Only Collect What We Need

We only ask for your email address (for login) and keep your test scores and activity history. No sensitive information (like ID numbers, home address, or phone numbers) is ever collected.

2. Your Data is Safe

Your personal information is stored securely on our servers. Only you (and your assigned teacher/mentor) can see your test results. We do not share data with third parties or advertisers.

3. You Are in Control

You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time - just email us. You can also view what data we have about you by requesting an export.

4. Parental Consent

If you are under 18, we encourage you to share this page with a parent or guardian. By using MathEden, you confirm that your parent/guardian has reviewed our Privacy Policy and agrees to its terms.

5. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users via email within 72 hours.

6. Contact the Information Regulator

If you believe your data rights have been violated, you can contact the Information Regulator of South Africa.
